Deutsche Version

The Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School looks back on four changeful decades of history with pronounced highs and lows. It was able to overcome risks concerning the survival of the school and came up with so many improvements that it has been awarded several prizes over the last years. At last it has been honoured as one of the best schools in Germany with the German School Prize in 2007. It has been, and it still is formative for the independent and extraordinary development process of the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School that the teachers of the school developed the wish and the power for change in reaction to certain extraordinary events. This is the central experience of the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School.

Great knowledge, dedication, identification, and readiness for work were essential to make these changes happen. What was also needed was a bit of luck and the ability to realize that a problem can also be seen as the chance for improvement. Looking back on this experience, the entire teaching staff and the principal agree that a good school can not be decreed, but has to be created and developed by all its members. The cooperation of the team plays the central role.

The history of the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School is one of work and cooperation of its teams. The following chapters will give an overview of the history and the development of the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School. Important corner stones and improvements as well as structures that have been created by the school step by step will be presented chronologically in this chapter.
