Information about the Language Department
It has become impossible to imagine a world without the English language. Today there is hardly any job or task which does not require English language skills. The globalized world communicates in English – no matter if it’s in the internet, if you work for an international company and meet with your colleagues, or if you spend your holidays on other continents. So it is a good idea to start learning this language as early as possible. The learning process begins in the third grade in primary school and we are continuing it.
Europe is also growing further together, which offers pupils many interesting career options for their future. Therefore it is helpful to speak a third language, which is why approximately 45% of our pupils start learning a third or even a fourth language in grade 6 or grade 11. They can choose between French, Spanish, or Latin.
There are more than 30 teachers in the Language Department of the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School.

| The educational objectives in the modern languages English, Spanish, and French are geared to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and our pupils acquire the language skills which are described in this framework. The old general guidelines have been replaced by modern, skill-oriented core curricula.
