deutsche Version

As a UNESCO project school the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School attaches great importance to a holistic environmental education. All students have the possibility of looking into a great variety of environmental questions. Since 1996 the school has been awarded as “Environment School in Europe” every year. It has also accomplished several constructional changes that contribute to the careful handling of natural resources.

These changes include the block heating power plant, a rain water drain, a school pond in our garden, a biology room which is equipped especially for water analysis and – brand new – the centre for aquatic biology , where marine biology lessons take place, which prepare the students for excursions to the Scandola Nature Reserve on the island Corsica.

In addition to the corresponding lessons there are regular projects like the summer school for grade 8 students – interdisciplinary lessons with ecological core areas – as well as the ongoing Mastberg-Project, a nature protection sponsorship of the Robert-Bosch-Comprehensive School for a biotope near the school.

Moreover, nature and environment aspects are an essential element of one of the course trips in grade 11. This course trip is – as well as the summer school – on the Danish island Årø.
